Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the OpnVoice website (opnvoice.cloud) and the OpnVoice text-to-speech API (the "Service"), operated by OpnVoice ("we", "us"). By creating an API key or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

OpnVoice is a text-to-speech API. You send text over HTTPS and receive synthesized audio (WAV or MP3) generated with preset voices built on permissively-licensed open-source models.

2. Accounts and API keys

An API key is issued instantly against your email address. No password or credit card is required for the free tier.
You are responsible for keeping your key confidential and for all usage made under it. If you believe your key is compromised, contact us to rotate it.

3. Credits, pricing and billing

Usage is metered in credits: 1 credit = 1 character of input text, deducted atomically per request.
Free tier: every key refills to 5,000 credits on the 1st of each month, free forever.
Pay as you go: prepaid credit packs ($5 per 1,000,000 characters). Prepaid credits never expire.
Pro subscription: $19/month for 5,000,000 characters per month.
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy as our merchant of record. Purchase with the same email as your API key and credits are added automatically.
If a synthesis request fails server-side, the deducted credits are refunded automatically.

4. Refunds and cancellation

You may cancel a Pro subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.
For prepaid credit packs, contact us within 14 days of purchase for a refund of unused credits.
Refunds are issued through Lemon Squeezy, subject to their terms.

5. Output rights

The intellectual-property and commercial rights to audio generated through the Service are assigned 100% to you, the requester. Use it in products, ads, videos, or games — no attribution, no royalties.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to create audio for:

voice phishing, fraud, or any other unlawful purpose;
disinformation or content that impersonates a real person;
hate speech or harassment.

Violations result in immediate suspension of your API key without prior notice.

7. No voice cloning

The Service deliberately does not offer voice cloning. Only pre-approved preset voices, built from licensed synthetic data, are available. You cannot submit audio or mimic a real person's voice.

8. Availability and disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind. We make reasonable efforts to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

10. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced on this page with a new effective date. We may suspend or terminate keys that violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.
